Broken House is a bay-area, indie rock band with a unique combination of technique and soul. The dynamic fusion of rhythm, progression and instrumentation is not just technically proficient but is an expression of giving, friendship and magic. Like a poet-philosopher, Broken House speaks of the highs and of the angst in life that contemporary society shares. From soothing songscapes to hard-driving rock, Broken House delivers a powerful and fun musical experience.
Jeremy has had music in his heart since early childhood. He got his first guitar for his 16th birthday, taught himself to play and has been writing songs ever since. His strongest musical influences are Elton John and David Gilmore. He has played with several bands including The Daisy Cutters, Squintin' and The Difference. When he is not with a band, Jeremy works on solo projects; writing and recording his songs and playing multiple instruments.
Dean started playing bass in 1968 and was heavily influenced by Jack Bruce of Cream. Dean still has his 1969 Fender Precision he bought to join his first garage band back in the day. Dean played with Rogue, in Michigan, for five years. Then with Marble Head, in New Jersey for seven years. Then finally made it out to California where his music careeer exploded with opportunities to play all original music with Astral Kitchen, Toki-Mono and now brokenhouse. Dean particularly enjoys the fulfillment of original music, but also enjoys playing with classic rock and jazz bands.
Jimy started playing the drums at four years old but didn't get serious until the age of 13. Over the years he has been in many different bands such as, Answers to Josey, Serf and James, In These Walls, ADD/C, Heavins Heels, Forged From Fire, and more.

Jon first started playing in 7th Grade at a school that had a full time guitar program and stayed with that for several years. After moving to Northern California he joined the highschool jazz band and started playing with several jazz groups while continuing the garage band circuit playing in several rock bands. He also played in a group that won the Reno Jazz Festival. Through college he continued to play in several bands, including “ Mass Confusion” from Sacramento.
In between he worked on tour as a sound engineer for many bands, some as openers for name acts.
More recently he continues to play in local jazz groups and played in “The Freeze” from Fairfield and jams with many players from around the area.
Jon enjoys playing many different styles: rock, folk, fusion, and is especially influenced by sounds from the 80s and 90s.
With brokenhouse, Jon plays rhythm, lead and acoustic as both a rock and and R&B player with a tasty jazz edge. He brings to the table a nice rhythm background and melodic leads that enhance brokenhouse’s sound, and he enjoys finding ways to add something fun into the mix.
